Bedingfeld Park Aged Care Services is also an approved provider, through the Commonwealth Department of Health & Ageing, to provide Home Care for people in the community who have been allocated a Home Care Package.
Residents living in their own home may need extra support to help them to remain at home.
To access a home care package the person needs to be assessed by the Aged Care Assessment Team who can identify the level of package required. They then apply to “My Aged Care” and wait for a package to be allocated.
Once allocated the client has time to source an approved provider and work out what support would best suit them.
The provider is paid a subsidy amount, dependent on the level of package, and the Client may be asked to contribute to ensure the hours allocated can meet the needs of the client.
Bedingfeld has dedicated Carers who visit the Clients in their home and support them with Activities of Daily Living. The level of services and hours provided is dependent on the Level of the Home Care Package. Support could be offered with showering, housework, laundry, outings for shopping or Dr’s appointments or social support.

Home Care Services
Depending on your needs, the following services can be provided for you:

Funding for Home Care Packages
The Australian Government pays subsidies to approved home care providers. It pays the subsidies on behalf of each person eligible to receive a Home Care Package. If a person can afford to, they may be asked to pay fees by their provider.
The Australian Government will pay Bedingfeld Park your funds and we will hold the funds until we purchase the items or services that we both agree to in the Home Care Agreement.
How do I get a Home Care Service
Contact Bedingfeld Park and our staff will advise you on the eligibility criteria, the availability of packages and the processes involved.
There isn’t a minimum age for accessing a Home Care Service but you will need to be assessed as eligible by an Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT).
Home Care Agreement
Everyone receiving care under a Home Care Service must be offered a Home Care Agreement. This is an agreement between you and Bedingfeld Park and sets out what care and services you have agreed to receive and how they will be delivered.
Consumer Directed Care
Home Care Services are delivered on a Consumer Directed Care (CDC) basis giving you more choice and control over the types of care and services you receive, how care is delivered and who delivers it to you.
